Howdy, I’m Jasmine

But most people call me Jazz, and I use they/them pronouns

I'm passionate about creating interactions and developing sleek prototypes to wow stakeholders, and have worked to solve a myriad of problems both in-house and through consultancy.

With a background in video games, graphic design, and web development, I have discovered my love for all things user-related, and aim to bring it to all the work I do.

Wxmen in tech

I remember doing an internship for a tech company and there were only three girls - one ended up quitting the internship early on. In university, I was the only girl on my course, and at college my A-Level computer science class only had myself and one other girl.

Any opportunity I can take to encourage more women to get into STEM, I will take. I've had opportunities to run crash courses in HTML & CSS for 18-25 year olds where they end up with a basic portfolio to work on. This was really encouraging to see the number of women looking to either change their career, or get started in the field. I've also been fortunate enough to go around colleges running a UX workshop for 16-18 year olds; I even ran one at my old college, which was great to be able to give something back to them.

It is something I really am passionate about and I'm always looking for ways to help the community.

Outside of work?

My cats take priority!

Other than my three boys, I spend time painting miniature figures, reading through my Deadpool collection, or playing video games. One of my favourites is Sleeping Dogs, since I grew up in Hong Kong, being able to run around the city makes me feel at home.
